International women's day 2025

Empowering Women Through Ethical Employment

At the heart of our mission lies a profound commitment to women's empowerment through ethical employment practices. We have established transformative partnerships with artisan communities, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities that help women escape cycles of poverty and vulnerability. By integrating traditional craftsmanship into contemporary fashion, we not only preserves valuable cultural heritage but also elevates the economic status of women artisans across India.

Our approach goes beyond mere employment; it centres on dignity, skills development, and long-term empowerment. Through our Impact partners, we provide comprehensive training in traditional hand embroidery and heritage crafts to underprivileged women, equipping them with marketable skills and connecting them to global markets. This helps women to move from being wage workers to becoming equal business partners who design, price, and own their creations.

We have currently provided 66,297 hours of employment, together with the women who buy and wear Beulah, we’re raising the voices of marginalised and vulnerable women around the world and putting an end to slavery.

With each purchase, you’re not just investing in a beautifully made piece - you’re championing ethical production, timeless design, and the artisans who make it all possible.

We hope you feel inspired to make Beulah a part of your story.

Spotlight on Handcrafted Elegance: SS25 Collection

THE HELENA DRESS

The Helena Rope Dress reflects our commitment to slow fashion and artisanal excellence. Requiring 4.8 metres of handwoven fabric, this stunning piece creates over 33 hours of meticulous weaving work. Its distinctive silhouette marries traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities, creating a versatile garment suitable for numerous occasions. The dress features exquisite hand-embroidered crochet clusters along the belt, each stitch carefully placed by skilled artisans through our Impact part Stitch in Time initiative. This elegant piece showcases the subtle variations in texture and shade that make handwoven fabrics so distinctive, ensuring that each Helena Dress is truly one-of-a-kind and carries the unique signature of its maker.

THE ELECTRA ROPE BLOUSE

Combining modern aesthetics with heritage techniques, this blouse uses 2 metres of handwoven fabric that creates 14 hours of employment from skilled weavers. This versatile top features the distinctive texture of rope fabric, created through a meticulous process where the weaver's hand pressure naturally varies, producing a uniquely tactile textile experience. The blouse exemplifies Beulah's ethos of clothing as investment pieces rather than disposable fashion, designed to be treasured and worn for years rather than seasons. Through its partnership with artisan communities, each Electra Blouse directly supports transformative employment practices that enable women to preserve cultural traditions whilst achieving financial independence. The resulting garment offers both ethical credentials and exceptional quality, representing a meaningful alternative to mass-produced fashion.

THE ARABELLA ROPE SKIRT

As a testament to sustainable luxury, this skirt uses 3 metres of handwoven fabric that creates 21 hours of dedicated artisanal work. This sophisticated garment balances timeless design with ethical production values, offering versatility for both casual and formal settings. The skirt's flowing silhouette highlights the exceptional drape quality of handwoven textiles, which move differently from machine-produced fabrics. Each Arabella Skirt begins with hand-dyed yarn, where natural variations in water temperature and dye application create subtle differences that industrial processes cannot replicate. The result is a garment that not only complements the wearer's style but also connects them to ancient traditions of textile craftsmanship.
