How to wear your Velvet Dresses
Sheer or patterned tights are the hottest hosiery this season, we love the simple elegance of a 40-denier.
We’re often asked in-store for coat suggestions to layer over our velvet dresses for evening events. This season the scarf coat is back and our Sawyer Houndstooth Coat is a perfect addition. Capes are a great way of adding drama, or for cosy glamour, a faux-fur jacket. For an effortlessly styled look, try a coat in a tonal shade to your dress, a deep burgundy or evergreen, to make it feel like a full outfit, rather than outerwear.
Many of our velvet dresses are elevated with their own embellishment, from pearl buttons to the brooch detailing of our Sonia embellished dress. You could continue the theme in your jewellery with pearl drop earrings, or a hair accessory. If in doubt, for evenings we love classic cocktail styles.
